I'm probably being worried about nothing but I wanted to get everyone's opinion on whether or not to use a letter I just received today. The back story is I shadowed a primary care DO for 2 days, asked her for a letter and she agreed. It took 5 months to receive it though, and I had to remind her through email 4 times to for the letter. I'm worried since she never replied to any of my emails and think I might have possibly annoyed her asking her so much which is why she didn't reply. I already have a MD letter that I consider to be strong, and I wanted to use the DO letter for some schools which strongly recommend it (NYITCOM). Should I still use the letter? Thanks everyone!

If it were me, I would definitely hold onto it (get it uploaded to interfolio or whatever) but maybe try to get a stronger one if you can? That way its like, if you could get one in time, great. If not, no prob, you just have a marginal letter instead of no letter.

It was sent to interfolio so I of course do not know what it says. My rotations start almost immediately after school and I will not have the time to try and shadow someone else. I'm not so worried about it being mediocre (since I have other strong letters), just worried it may have a "annoyed" tone in the way its written 😛. She did seem to like me when I was actually shadowing her though so perhaps I will just take the chance and use it.
