sorry for the blank post

I am in a situation where I can only begin to see DO's, or shadow, after I graduate (May 18). I know that I need a letter, preferably a good one, but I am worried that the DOs in my city (not too many of them) will look down on my coming in so late. There was really no way to come in during the semester, seeing as none of them work on weekends. Has anyone gotten a letter this late and still got their app. in early?

Hi Hun,

I just started working with a DO about 2 months ago. It has been a great experience. He is currently working on my Letter of Recomendation. I would try even though it is late...many of the DO's I have met are fully willing to help out students who are genuinely interested in Osteopathic Medicine. Just hang in there....go seek out some DO's and tell them about how you are interested in their field and need a learning experience.

Good Luck!
Jennie 🙂
