an adv. told me that it might be possible DO will be combined with MD in the future. a few reasons can be drawn as follow:
1. less MDs are willing to participate in internal medicine, family practice and so forth. DOs primarily concentrate in primary medicine, a good combination will provide a stronger health care to the patients.
2. from the geographical point of view, the locations of DO and MD are not quite the same. a combined MD/DO training programs will be conducive and beneficial to the need of that particular community.
anyway, what do you guys think about this issue? discussions and opinions are encouraged.
