if I got credits from calc BC but decide to take calc 1 in college, would med schools just think I’m just trying to boost my gpa and frown upon that? Also, when should I study for the mcat? I’m a freshman. Thanks!

I don't think they will check. Also, your AP credit may not show up on transcript since you took the course at college.

A good number of med schools don't accept AP credit to fulfill the prerequisites, so you're fine to take the class again at college. If your college awarded you AP credit, it will appear on your official university transcript, as will the repeated class. No big deal.

2) You'd study for the MCAT after you complete all the prerequisites, or when you are in progress of nearly completing the last few requirements.
