ThisThey don't know all the schools where you applied, but schools that accepted you can see where else you got an acceptance starting in March.

If you tell them....

Accepted.Only schools that accepted you, or also schools that waitlisted you?
If a school accepts you, they receive access to an AMCAS database showing all your acceptances 9after that certain date). They may look, or may not. Mainly it's an issue for very high stat folks that top school yearn to attract. I suspect it helps to drive scholarship offers.
I wonder how it affects applicants with no acceptances and only waitlists. Does it make the candidate less desirable because "Hey, no one else wants him, neither do we." Or more, "Hey he hasn't been accepted yet, so if we take him, he'll most likely attend out school."
THEY CAN'T SEE UNLESS THEY HAVE ALREADY ACCEPTED YOU. Its irrelevant.I wonder how it affects applicants with no acceptances and only waitlists. Exactly! You are accepted on your own merit at any given school. Before they accept you, they can only know your status at other schools if you tell them.THEY CAN'T SEE UNLESS THEY HAVE ALREADY ACCEPTED YOU. Its irrelevant.
