When it comes time to apply do only hours shadowing physicians count? Or can you include hours with an NP or PA? As non-trad wouldn't it make sense to have looked at other options before choosing a path? Thank you in advance!

Only physician hours count. Medical schools don’t care to verify that you’ve explored other options; they want to know that you understand what the day-to-day life of a physician in a clinical setting is like.
