Do Oral Surgeons get paid to be on call? I recently graduated from omfs and the hospital want me to be on call 3-4 months per year.
I am wondering why should I be on call. The hospital thinks that they are doing me a favor for bringing cases over to their institution.
I am just wondering what happens when these patient who I treat surgically does not have insurance. That means I do the consult, surgery and post op all for free, AND I AM LIABLE FOR ANYTHING I DO. This is total BS.
