DO ortho Comlex 2

Is it recommended to take comlex 2 in the summer/early fall to get scores to ortho programs? I have generally heard that step 1 is much more important. Is step 2 as important for DO ortho programs?

The exception I can see is if you did poor on step 1 and want to improve on 2.

I have the opton of taking it in July or September, or just hold off and take in January.

Im taking it September 19th. Not early, not late, and I did pretty well on the first one. Just happens to be when I had a free minute. I don't intend on doing any worse, so Im not sure how it could hurt.
