I know DO is technically easier to get into than MD. So I would like to ask if DO/PhD is also considerably easier to get into that an MD/PhD program?

What do DO/PhD program generally look for in terms of GPA and MCATs? I looked around, and it seemed that most of them are looking for the same stats as a regular DO applicant, but I'm not so sure.

I can't speak for all of the schools, but I know that at MSUCOM, you apply to and are accepted to the PhD program separately from the DO program. So, if a DO applicant and an MD applicant were both applying to get into the PhD Epidemiology program, they would both be held to the same standards.

most schools are in the process of developing these programs as DO are less research intensive. Most require that you do the PHD through another univeristy and you have to do much of the leg work yourself.

The program at OSUCOM is most-definitely all done within the school...not through another school. The school website has the particulars of the pre-reqs.

no offense, but i did say most schools for this reason. Most of the ones i looked at either did not have a program, or did with the aid of another univeristy.

However you are correct, some schools have programs exclusively done without another school

I realize what you said. I was giving information to clarify that my school wasn't one of those.
