Was recently accepted!! Woohooo!!

But it’s an out of state private school and almost $40,000 more in tuition than instate public programs.

I’ve heard that private schools have more private funding etc. so that they are able to give out more scholarships/grants to students.

Has anyone who’s been accepted to a private school given any money to attend? Or should I fully expect to have to pay using student loans?

I am at a private school and they didn't have anything additional to offer....I'm paying for it entirely out of loans

Yes, private schools do offer scholarship money, but it probably went to the people that were accepted in October/November. If they were offering you any scholarship money, it would have been mentioned in your acceptance letter.

Were you accepted to any state schools? As someone who just graduated from a private school let me tell you, the debt isn’t worth it. The same thing is taught at every school (because CAPTE makes sure of that) and they all teach for the boards. Save yourself hundreds of thousands of dollars and go to a state school if you can

Got $1500/year scholarship. Another person got $5-6000/year. I also saw people could apply for a little more money (8-10,000/year) if they have financial needs.
There were deadlines to apply, so check that information with your school ASAP.

Was the scholarship money something you were given at the time of your acceptance or something you had to apply/ask for?

I had to apply for it. It was based on "academic achievements."
