This may have been asked before but what psych classes count towards your sgpa. Would classes like Physiological Psych, Neuropsych, Neuropsychopharm and Behavioral Pharm be counted? Any input would be appreciated

I think Neuro classes will be counted in bcpm (Neuro is listed under Biology on the AMCAS classification guide)

I would definitely count psychology especially since it's going to be on the new mcat. social SCIENCES (ok that wouldn't work for political sciences but you see what I mean).

You can list them as science, but it's up to AAMC to accept them, which has happened for others in the past.

I'd put them down as science, I doubt AMCAS would change them. I listed the following as science classes and AMCAS didn't change them:

PSYC 3xx - Research Methods I (legit, 99% math/stats)
PSYC 3xx - Research Methods II (legit, 99% math/stats)
PSYC 4xx - Sensation and Perception (legit, most of the class was spent on the physiology of the visual system at the cellular level)
PSYC 4xx - Memory and Knowledge (straight-up attempt to improve my sGPA, there was some neuro/bio but not much)
PSYC 4xx - Attention and Thinking (debatable, but prolly more psych than neuro/bio)
PSYC 4xx - Experimental Methods (legit, 99% math/stats)

AACOMAS was MUCH less felxible and arbitrarily change some, but not all of them

The way I decided which classes from my Psych major counted as science classes towards sGPA was by both checking the AMCAS guide mentioned by @dechristine and looking at which courses were double listed with the Bio department (e.g. my Drugs, Brain, and Behavior course was listed under both the Psych and the Bio departments at my school). AMCAS does indeed change courses inappropriately listed as a science so don't think you'll be able to sneak one past them. Also, contrary to what @mrh125 said, you can't just list them as science because of the new MCAT. AMCAS will definitely notice and it might make them take longer to process your application so I would just try to get it right on the first time around - social sciences are not considered part of sGPA.
