i was very happy to find out the D.O schools did not average all grades taken but only the last time a student takes a class. that will significantly raise my gpa for this application cycle since i retook a bunch of classes. my Kid brother is applying for fall 2009 and still have two years to work on his grades, is there any chance that by May 2008, that DO schools may stop using the grades for only the last repeated class and average everything like MD schools?

There's a chance that a large comet will crash into the Earth, causing a tremendous explosion and anihilating all life forms. Nobody will be able to go to either MD or DO schools after that.

It is not likely that in the next 2 years they are going to change their policy.
