Hello, I am planning on retaking few courses from undergraduate in attempts to rebuild my GPA. I have heard that DO schools accept only the last grade in case a student retakes a course. With that said, I got a D in systems physiology (4 semester credits) in undegraduate and planning on retaking the course. I am enrolled at northeastern university post-bacc pre-med and they only offer a course name human anatomy and phyiology (12 quarter hours, which is 8 semester credits). how would this work as far as grade replacement? would it be ok for me to take human anatomy and physiology at northeastern and do u think this would replacce my grade or should i retake the course at boston university metropolitan separately which actually has systems physiolohy (4 semester credit)?

also, what happens if you retake a course for the thid time? would DO schools still take the last grade?

your input would be greatly appreciated!!!

I would try to retake the class that is closest to system physiology, anatomy and phys for 8 credits is probably way too off for AACOMAS to count.

The amount of retakes depends on your school's policy. Even if you took a class 3 times, D.O. schools would still only look at the most recent grade. Hope that helps.
