Hello!
I am graduating this year and need help with a list of DO schools I plan on applying for this coming cycle:
cGPA of 3.50
sGPA of 3.31 with much better grades junior year and first semester senior year. If you only count my junior year and first sem senior year, my science/math GPA is a 3.73 (3 A's, 2 A-'s, 1 B)
504 MCAT (126/125/125/128)
PA resident
ORM (Asian)
Top 25 LAC
~150 hrs clinical volunteering
No non-clinical volunteering :/
Bio research junior and senior year
leadership position in a science magazine club, 2 campus jobs
Dean's list fall 2018
I don't have that many shadowing hours (only 16) so I will be shadowing a DO (trying to get ~100 hrs within a month, as well as a LOR) as early as shadowing is allowed again.
I'm trying to get a medical scribe job that I can start as soon as that is allowed
So far, I am planning on applying to:
PCOM (all of them, but Philly is first choice)
VCOM
LECOM
NYITCOM
What other schools do you think I have a shot at and would recommend? Also if there are any schools you know of that are PA-resident friendly please let me know! For the ones I have listed so far I'm not sure if they have in-state preference.
