DO school stats

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
DO stats tend to be slightly lower only because many (not all) of the higher achieving students end up at MD schools. A good place i think to see where you fit in is to check out www.mdapplicants.com. 🙂

I think just a thrown out number would be like 27 MCAT versus 30 MCAT averages and a 3.4-3.5 versus 3.5-3.6 avg GPA...That's rough though; some DO schools have MCATS a little +/- 27; GPAs tend to be similar across the DO/MD board.

Does anyone know the average DO stats for students who were accepted (i.e. MCAT scores, GPA) and how does it roughly compare to MD schools?

OP,

Here you are; but alas, my munificence is not without limits, you will actually have to READ this information.

Hope this helps,

This would not be the best site to consult, since users often inflate their stats. There is also a recall bias.

i believe the average MCAT of osteo matriculants is a little over 24, whereas the average MCAT of allo matriculants is around 30.

No, 24 is way low. I'll check some school sites and add to this.

AZCOM = 27
DMU = 25.9
NSU = 25.3
PCOM = 25.3
OUCOM = 25
COMP = 29
UNECOM = 25.5
OSUCOM = 26.7

Ok, so it wasn't 'way low'. But neither of us were quite right. 🙂

Oh and let me add that I pulled those numbers right off individual school's websites.
