Do you guys think DO school would prepare some one much better than an MD school for a career in orthopedic surgery?

I doubt it. You don't learn how to be an orthopedic surgeon in medical school; rather, you learn this in residency.

p.s. why not "George Patton" -- a true American hero.

You'll recieve the knowledge to go into any area of medicine by going to either a DO or MD school. Remember osteopathic schools teach the EXACT same courses as MD schools and add a few more on top of the md schedule.

alright, thanks for the responces. I just noticed all of the ortho guys at the local hospital were DO's so i thought there could be a connection.

P.S- good call on Patton, he was one hell of a man. not to mention he defeated rommel. I'll consider it 😉

Or better yet, George C. Scott! Was there every a better performance in cinema history?

Fenrezz, I totally agree. I dont think any other actor could have pulled off a performance as good as Scott did. "Patton" would not be one of the best war movies ever without him.
