Do schools look at percentiles of OAT scores?

Im just wondering because I feel like I got a low score overall(320) and sort of low subsections but some of the percentiles are high.

For example, in physics I got a 340, which is decent, but my percentile was like 85%. It seems like i should have a higher score for an 85%.
And in RC i got a 340 as well and it was like 81%.

I don't know, I just feel like my percentiles look better than my number scores.

Here is a complete listing:
QR 330 80%
RC 340 85.9%
Biology 290 39.6%
GC 330 76.3%
OC 310 62.5%
Physics 340 84.8%
TS 320 69%
AA 320 73.3%

If I had to guess....no. The reason I say this is because some schools will take OAT scores in lieu of lacking prerequisites. 300 = will replace a prereq, but in most of the topics, 300=like...50%.

But i don't know, I could be wrong. I took my OAT in Nov 2009 and I got the same score in RC as you and the percentile is the same. Strange that it hasn't changed in 3 months, so I have no idea what those percentiles are based on.

Your scores are pretty even throughout though, so that's good. Except for Bio...looks like that one killed you. 😛

the percentile score associated with each standard score indicates what percent of examinees received the same or a lower standard score. confusing right? so for example, you received a 330 in QR, and the percentile is 80%. that means 80% other people who wrote the test got the same 330 or lower. that also means that the remaining 20% of people who wrote the exam got a higher standard score that you, 330+

i just realized that today..and i wrote the oat a week and a half ago! the percentile score is confusing

The official OAT report includes only the standard scores, the percentiles are not reported.

i'm curious how you knew this. did you order an official copy for yourself? i thought you get your unofficial printout and all the officials go to the schools.
