Do these schools require dean's letter of explanation for institutional action?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I believe that BU is one of the few schools that make this request. They are the only one of my 20 apps to ask for anything official. Most schools just ask you to provide an explanation on their secondary.

Thanks. Are any of the other schools you applied to on my list? So far, I know that the University of Rochester does not, and I'm on hold while Drexel checks but the admissions person I'm speaking with is pretty sure they don't.

Yup, BU does. Not sure about the others though.

It's not difficult to get a Dean's Certification. Just email the Dean, tell him what's up, and ask him to write a quick letter and submit it to the school(s). Mine mailed them out the day after I requested it.

I've also applied to Buffalo, Stony Brook, Maryland and Rochester

Yeah unfortunately my school told me it would take 1-2 weeks, so I was worried about missing deadlines if they dawdled.
