I am filling out a residency form and it asks me to list all the places i have been in the last 2 years...not a big deal or anything but i am just curious.. what if someone lied, could they really find out? Will they know that I went to california last summer for two weeks.. or that I went to Ireland on a class trip in March? Or are they just going by good faith? I thought airline stuff is privileged info. I have no reason to lie but i am just curious to know how they could find out anyway.

Which residency form asks for that? Are you sure they're not asking where you've lived or attended school in the last 2 yrs? I can't imagine any program interested in where you've simply vacationed in the last 2 yrs.

the form says to list all the places i have spent at least 4 days in the last 2 years and purpose of stay.. so i guess they include living somewhere and visiting .. i was in ireland for ten days.. i dont know.. just wondering

I wonder why they have questions like these. Is it just to find out if you are open minded and have travelled? Maybe it is for residencey? Maybe it is to find out if you are from red or blue state? (this last one is not likely, but who knows.)

Places I have spent at least 4 days in the last 2 yrs: An unknown hotel during Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
Purpose of stay: getting jiggy with it.

I would put NOYBB (None of your business, biatch!) for the answer 👍

Oh damn, that includes my 10 day trip to Amsterdam last January.

so....I would have to include that trip to Thailand involving the 13-year-old hooker?

LOL.. my point was.. how could they verify this information? I thought flight info was privileged.

This is just a hunch, but I bet it has to do with criminal investigation. They will probably run your driver's license number through the state departments of every state you've been in for 4 days or more. Why four days? Hm. Don't know. I guess that's a significant enough amount of time in their opinion. They aren't going to check flight info or determine you "open minded." Hope nobody has a DUI!

Sounds like North Carolina to me. If that's the case, it's because they are nazi's about in-state status for tuition. How do I know? Because I was out of state in undergrad and had to apply for dental school.
