i know AA=avg of math, orgo, bio, chem, reading
if you avg the 5 and get 20.5, is the AA a 20 or 21?

you can't get a 20.5 as the absolute average because there are 5 categories.....so its all like 20.2, 20.4, 20.6, 20.8 as averages
The bad thing about this is that 20.4 is a 20 AA, and 20.6 is 21 AA. Yeah......it doesn't
appear to be a big deal, but it actually is.
19 Bio, 21 GChem, 22 Ochem, 20 Reading, 20 Math ---> 20.4 AA ---> 20AA
18 Bio, 21 GChem, 21 Ochem, 18 Reading, 20 Math ---> 19.6 AA ---> 20 AA
Bio and Ochem drop by 1 pt and Reading drops by 2 pts.....but still 20AA
I've heard some schools calculate the AA themselves because of this "range", so to speak
