Hi all, sorry if this is a dumb question!!

I was wondering if dental schools receive descriptions of courses with the transcripts they've received. I've struggle with chemistry throughout college and I am thinking about taking CHM 200 Fundamentals of Chemistry to brush up on things before taking the DAT. However, this class is primarily for education majors. Since it is in the chemistry department it would also help my science GPA if I get a good grade but I don't want to risk it if taking this easier class is "against the rules". Would dental schools know that this class is usually taken by education majors?

Yea they don't get course decriptions and even if they do most schools probably won't care about why you took this class. Plenty of people take easier classes for a GPA boost. Its not uncommon nor is it 'against the rules'. It honestly kind of sucks and makes GPA a slightly poorer measurement of how well you will do in dental school, but on average good students have good GPA's.

Not to worry, adcoms are a gullible bunch.
