Hey all,

I was wondering how you go about applying to both DO and Post-Bac programs. I am planning on submitting my DO application in early September but I have a sub par GPA and am somewhat banking on my MCAT to make me a competitive applicant for most schools. My fall back plan in case I don't get into any DO schools would be to go to a 1 year Post-Bac program to both up my GPA and make me a better applicant for next year. So while waiting to hear back from DO schools should I be applying to Post-Bacs as well? Anyone else in this situation/have any tips about how to go about this? Also, if you know of good 1 year Post-Bacs I would love to hear about them!

Thanks

I am going to do the same thing if I don't get an acceptance this fall/early winter. I am looking at TCOM's program. But I wont apply for that until later in the winter.

If you have a good MCAT and low GPA you will be fine at many places. I was plenty successful with what I considered a low GPA (btw 3.0 and 3.2) and high MCAT.

However, it never hurts to have plans A, B, and C. I applied to MD, DO, and MPH programs as well as made sure I had a job in case I didn't have a good plan.

If you need to find programs, looks here.
