so i had my transcript for my current college sent out after grades from spring quarter came out. i had arranged for them to be shipped overnight. i was sent an email from the registrar on 6/20 saying they had all been sent (one to me, one to amcas, one to aacomas) and on 6/21 I recieved mine. However, according to the websites amcas and aacomas havent recieved them; in fact, i got reminder emails within the past few days from both saying they still needed the transcripts.

do you think maybe they have them and just havent notified me that they have them yet...should i call to see if they really do have them or wait a while longer?

You might want to give AMCAS & AACOMAS a few more days. They probably have it, but they are just super slow with logging things into the computer. If they don't have your transcript by the end of next week, then you should worry.

You should definitely call. I called AACOMAS and the guy I spoke with asked for my my SS# to look it up. Don't be fooled by this because they use your SS# to look on their computer and basically tell you the same thing you see on the status page. Make sure you push them to look for hard copies that the schools have sent to see if they have received them but haven't had the time to enter them into their system. I did this and most of the time the update will show up immediately after you hangup or within the same day. The other day when I called they told me they haven't received my transcript but when I hung up it shows up within one hour and this one guy even called me back to say that they have received it. I was pleasantly surprised he'd called.

The amount of time that it took you to submit that post you should have picked up the phone and call AAMCAS and AACOMAS to see why they sent the emails when they should have received them. Chances are that they came in the mail to AAMCAS and AACOMAS and the secretary or summer intern hasn't updated your file yet and so the system sent you an email anyhow.
