Do you get taxed on stipends from an AEGD?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yes. If it's income, it is taxed.

That being said at 25k/year you'll get a decent chunk back. I made right around that much in the last 6 months (so for tax purposes, this year) and taxes came out to around $2000. That doesn't included social security which is like $2200 or something absolutely rediculous!

sheee... my $1250 most outstanding clinical award in senior year is also taxed. I just got its 1099-misc from school. it's rediculous ! Wish I didn't donate that money away.

Get used to taxes guys. Not to mention with this huge "stimulus" plan we're going to be the ones paying it back.

At the very least, 1 out every 4 hours you work as a dentist for the rest of your life will be for Uncle Sam.

This is the US of A dude. EVERYTHING is taxed, including, but not limited to, the inheritance your mama and dada left you on their will.

And don't forget about death... Uncle Sam plans on taxing you when you die! Taxes will literally follow you to the grave 🙂
