I'm all for alternative therapies when they're used safely and in conjunction with conventional treatments, but I cannot imagine having cancer and thinking that trying to treat it purely with alternative therapies would be a good idea.

I just want to point out that it's not a randomized control trial. I surmise there are more differences between the two arms of the study than which treatment modalities they received.

(If I had cancer I would definitely see an oncologist, so don't take my statement for more than it's worth)
