do you need Step 2 CS 'Pass' result back before starting residency?

Med school requires only that we take it before graduation, not that we pass it. Does anyone know if having taken it but having no score report (passing grade) back before July 1 is going to be a problem with starting residency at most programs? I'd like to take it in May if it's possible to do that, due to unexpected circumstances making it very difficult for me to take in March.

According to the information on FREIDA, some of the programs do, some don't, and some hadn't, as of the time they updated their info, established their policy.
