Do you think adcoms read forum threads?

I searched to see if this topic has been touched upon, but I didn't see it.

Do you think (or know) if people from the adcoms ever sneak a peek at what we are saying on these boards. If I were on the committees, I would sneak a look just for kicks.

Also, although we are somewhat anonymous, do you all edit yourselves just in case or at least until you get in?

Just curious.

I know of at least one adcomm member who admitted reading the forums during my interview. I think the topic under discussion was where I got information about the application process and the program. She had a low opinion of this forum's content.

If interviewers, bosses, instructors or grandparents ask, I don't use the internet except for studying. And I'm shocked and horrified at all the filth and rudeness and bad language out there. SHOCKED, I tell you.

It is actually on UF's website that they've been known to look at Facebook accounts (weird, I know) so I'm sure some people do look at these things.

Omg, only if they saw my facebook and myspace pictures, then they would see how social and fun-loving i am. And then perhaps i could get in thru the waitlist.. haha jk
