I do, simply because it helps me from making repeat threads on SDN.

Sorry, but yeah it is 2:50am at the moment and I have been sleeping at 10:30 -11pm and waking up at 630 before the alarm clock for the past 2 weeks, so I feel a little paranoid because of restlessness. Also the same topic is running in my head for a bit so it is driving me crazy. I already know that thinking too much of one thing will drive one crazy but yeah I can't help it.

I do. Mostly because my school comes out with a new edition of its textbooks every single year, and the most I can get out of selling them back (even in PRISTINE condition) is about $15-$20. Might as well mark the hell out of them and remember the information better, if it's all the same to Goodwill. 👍

I do now, but it took me forever to do so...I used to be a bit on the OCD side about keeping my books looking shiny and new.

Sometimes, but only in pencil. I also wrap all my books at the beginning of each term so that the cover doesn't get scratched - I'm paranoid about stuff like that. 😀

I know you can't help it, but the most effective way to learn good study techniques is to try them out for yourself. What we do ultimately will not change your performance, so you may do better (and alleviate some of your stress) if you start employing different techniques and see what works. There are as many different types of learners as there are people, and the best thing you can do is figure out what works for you. Good luck!

I underline with pen while I'm reading. I'll even make notes to myself in the book. Like someone else said, the edition change so frequently and the return rate turns to ****. I'd rather get the most out of my class by marking up the book.
