I wondering if this is sufficient for the COMLEX and USMLE. Of course I'll memorize the MOA's but do we really have to know the general uses of all the antimicrobials? thanks.

what good is knowing the MOA without knowing when it's actually used clinically

MOA, clinical use, major side effects and anything else unique about the drug would be a good place to start

depends on what your goal score is. if you just wanna pass, then you can probably get away with just familiarizing yourself with a few anti-microbials. if you're trying to get the highest score possible, then it becomes difficult to determine what is "sufficient".

DOC for specific bugs are higher yield than MOA. Specific drug side effects are also high yield as well as any antidote to drug toxicity.

I think it is better to know the spectra of drugs than the DOC for most bugs.
