Doc LOR

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Not necessarily bad but the trend lately has been for schools to require or desire a physician's letter. Why not ask the medical director of the scribe program or the ED to write one? Or ask the doc you've worked w most or know best?

I heard that physician letters aren't really that good unless you REALLY know the guy. There isn't much to be said about a pre-med who just observes you.

This is true. However, some MD schools now expect them and it is expected you get a good one, not just one for shadowing.
