My son had his tonsils out the other day. Lady introduced herself as -dr with anesthesia. Only person in pre op without a visible badge.

Annoyed I said that’s great that we have a doctor!
She said -yes, dr of anesthesia.

I don’t mind team approach but she was purposely misleading patients as to her qualifications

Glad I’m on the back 9 of my career.

i would have done the exact same thing. id bitch to my wife that "she isnt really a doctor, you know", and my wife would tell me to STFU and that nobody cares but you.

Unless you are willing to walk out, it is better and safer to not rock the boat or make the crna uncomfortable.

Depends on how you ask. But I agree, I wouldn’t cause a scene before my child’s surgery.

Unfortunately, I believe that their employers (hospital , surgery center, etc) encourage them to pass themselves off as “doctors “.
