I am in the final stages of pre-production for a television show to be broadcast on a major cable network, and am seeking cast members. The title is Doctor Swap. Residents from different programs in different specialties will swap places with each other for one week, similar to the show Wife Swap. This should result in entertaining, sometimes trying, often hilarious situations. If you are interested in participating in this unique show, please send me a message. Thanks.

This ought to be good.... is someone going to keep track of the body count? I'm looking forward to the episode where the radiologist intubates, the pathologist performs a colonoscopy, the psychiatrist does a boob job, and the cardiologist does brain surgery. Hilarity will most certainly ensue. Awesome!

Are they just swapping personal lives or actual professional lives?

Because if its the latter, how are you arranging that? Licenses, malpractice, etc. would seem to make swapping residency positions (and for a week) a bit of a nightmare unless everyone is in the same hospital to start with. Hilarious? I'm not so sure seeing residents trying to figure out new computer systems, cafeteria hours and which nurses to avoid would be hilarious. Our jobs are pretty boring really.

Is this for real?

Agreed. Plus, we don't really get time off for fun little "expirements" like this. I would not be willing to give up a week of vacation to go play around in a field I already decided wasn't for me.

OP,
Is this for real?
It doesn't seem like any of the hospitals or program directors would agree to this, because it sounds like a liability risk.
