Any old school, bowtie wearing doctors still carry around a leather doctor's bag with all their neurology tools?

Thinking of purchasing one and even one with name embroidered.

Any recommendations?

I know a lot of people who have cross-body bags, messenger bags, backpacks, or fanny packs for their neurology tools. The only person I know with a leather handheld doctor's bag is one of our older attendings, who has a small black one.

But honestly, if that's what works best for you, go for it.

I have a very similar bag, I think from Amazon. But stopped carrying it after 6 months into attending life. Most docs in my hospital wear super casual clothes like jeans or scrubs with no white coat (which I'm not a fan of btw). But I stood out too much with my tie etc lol.

Though I do not wear a bow tie, when I rounded in the hospital I did carry that style of doctor's bag that contained my reflex hammer(s), stethoscope, tuning forks, OKN strip, triptan samples for when I got a migraine, keys, other miscellaneous junk. It is also useful for sticking in an elevator door as it is closing, as I am not IM who would use their hand or a surgeon who would use their head.
