Hi, so I am just about to have my physical done at MEPS for the HPSP scholarship (I know, I'm late). However, my recruiter has told me that after my physical, the doctors will send the results to another place where they will determine if I meet the physical standards. He told me the physical is actually a two step process and involves approval from two different parties. While browsing through this thread, I noticed there wasn't really much mention of this second step and it seemed most people were actually cleared once they finished their MEPS physical. Therefore, I did some searching and it APPEARS this second "party" is called DoDMERB....However, it looks like only medical students applying for HPSP need to go through this...
Did any of you guys have to go through this "two-step" process? Or do you think my recruiter has me confused with the application process for a medical school HPSP? I am just slightly concerned about this because, as I've already mentioned, I know I'm late in submitting my packet and I just hope this won't slow anything down 🙁 If you guys could give me any insight or feedback on this I'd really appreciate it. Thanks
