Does a cashed check = application review?

My checks were recently cashed by a bunch of Cali schools. Does this mean that they are reviewing my file? When can I expect to hear from them aftr cashing my checks??

No, it doesn't mean that your file is being reviewed, it just means that they received your check and they can now go out for lunch.

have you ever thought about how much money some schools make from application fees? say a school gets 4,000 secondary applications with an application fee of $75, over half of which they probably reject without looking at for more than 30 seconds. that's $300,000 a year! at that rate, they could endow a building every 10-15 years donated by "those that didn't get in"
