does AADSAS send out your apps ONLY when EVERYTHING is received? or will they send out our application and transcript first, then the LOR's when they get them?

Whatever they have at the magical moment, they decide a magical cut-off and send that stuff in. Afterwards, they send out the remainder of the stuff they got after consulting the gods and send it in, based on when they get it.

Translation: my aadsas (in 8/21), 1 LOR, 1 transcript was in around 9/10. And so that stuff was sent in 10/6. My other LOR and transcript was in 9/27 and they are sending it 10/15. Hmmm....if they had everything 9/27....why couldnt they send it 10/6?!?!?!? THESE PEOPLE ARE ILLOGICAL IDIOTS

AADSAS will send out whatever they have when they have it. They will send out the application before or without the letters and transcripts. I would say do not send anything more to AADSAS than you have to. They are notorious for losing things and not sending things to the right schools. I've heard this point in many threads and said it myself to many people. The key is simply: Have as little to do with AADSAS as possible. AADSAS is a racket to make money and does not help out applicants very much. I think I've ranted enough.

Is it really that bad? I was planning on clicking submit for aadsas on november 7th and then sending in all my letters of recommendation to them via fedex in one envelope. I was also going to have the schools send my transcripts to aadsas around nov. 7th also. Will this work out ok? I don't know if I can track down additional copies of my LOR's so it would be much easier for me to send everything to aadsas and let them copy and send everything out. Or maybe I should send the transcripts directly to the 5 schools I'm applying to? When you send transcripts directly to the schools is there anything you have to be aware of or the school receives your transcripts and then attaches them to your entire application no problem?

i submitted my app 3rd sept. transcript mid sept. 1 LOR oct 10th.
so i s'pose i'm waiting 2 weeks or so till they send my stuff out? sigh....

pbure - send your stuff ASAP! why wait for nov 7th, when u can do it NOW! 😱

Is it really that bad?

It isn't really that bad, some people do have problems, but it's like the mechanics shop, you only hear about the time that he forgot to put a belt on your buddies car and the engine blew up. I submitted on June 28th and they had my stuff sent out on Aug 2nd. All 5 of my letters, all my transcripts, and everything else made it to all 11 schools that I applied to. I think my $785 was well spend because as for me, I didn't want to have to go and do all that work my self, nor did I have the time to do it all.

It's your buisness and all but I would submit your AADSAS application now if at all possible to give yourself the best chance of getting an interview/acceptance. Even when the schools recieve your application it could easily take another 2-8 weeks for them to review your file, which could put you into March as a worst case scenario. Just something to think about.

It's because I can only write my DAT's on November 6th here in Canada. I wanted to wait until the day after because if I feel I bombed it then I won't apply this year and save the hassle and the money. Don't really have much of a choice..but all schools i'm applying to have March 1st 2005 deadlines. I think if I submit Nov.6th they will have it in by mid december and not mid january..that's a bit pessimistic. Schools won't get my DAT's till Dec.1st anyways when it finally gets forwarded..🙁
