LSR1979 said:Did they tell you where on the alternate list you are? If you are #1 or #2, you had some chance of getting in. Every year, somebody just doesn't show up. This year somebody didn't show up on the first day, so they called up one of the alternates from out of state at 9am and she was here by 2 pm that same day. Not sure how it works at all schools, but if you aren't alternate #1 and MAYBE alternate #2, you should look elsewhere. Just being honest.
Alternate means u will not get in, you will never get in and you will die a horrble fiery death. It is the worse thing that can happen to a human being. Just kidding, I was on the alternate list and i got it. Dont worry about it, its better than being rejected. Good luck.gabrielmeraz said:I have recently received two spots (BU and Marquette) for the alternate list for 2005. Guys, honestly, do you think my chances for 2005 admission are almost over? hockeydentist said:Marquette waiting list, from my experience last year, they had about 3 spots move the entire summer for outstate students. Or from what I was told, you can't trust anybody when talking to someone on the phone.
If they like you, they will tell you what exact number you are on the waitlist ( i think they will) if your in bottom of the pile they will try and come up with a quick response like, no the pool is not ranked, so stop calling us.
