Does an honors class mean anything to GPA?

Hey ya'll, I just finished a class in philosophy, a medical ethics, class and I took it for honors credit. To be honest, I don't know why I did that but oh well, I got it. What does that even mean??? lol

No, it has little bearing. What is more important in determining the effectiveness of your GPA is if you went to an easy community college or state school vs. a prestigious private school.

If perhaps you took the honors courses at the pretigious private school, it may be somewhat impressive.

You can just designate it honors on AMCAS. I dunno how it is viewed but I assume it is a plus.
