Am I Missing Something?? -Please advise
6 weeks before exam nbme 6 430

4 weeks before nbme 7 440

2 weeks before nbme 5 560 = 230 something

i didnt believe it so to verify i tried

1 week before uwsa 1 240
6 days before uwsa 2 244

day before free 150 = 90%

and then used kaplan usmle score predictor on ther qbank based on percentage right from random timed block and it was 240ish

My usmle world average for the last 2 weeks before exam on random timed blockes was anywhere 75 -90.. average i would say 80

test day june 27. real deal scored 228

needless to say im bit upset.

am i stupid for wanting to order a rescore. it's completely worthless right? just accept and nail step 2? any similar experiences? am i missing something, is this totally plausible. am i sticking to the predictors too tightly?

I think a lot of people fell short of their estimated scores, myself included. UWSA and NBME predicted me about 10-15 points higher than my real deal. I'm not complaining because I'm happy with my score. You shouldn't be bummed out. It's supposed to be a difficult exam.

rescore rarely change the final score, your real score was 2 points off your highest nbme, the uwsa are good but they are not very predictive. Rescore is ~$50 so if it will give you some closure it might be worth going for it.
