Referring to the 2020 data that recently came out reflecting 2019 compensation. I'm specifically wondering about dermatology and ophthalmology but if anyone has images of the data broken down by geographical region that would be great.

I think they stopped publishing the physical data books in 2018 and now have only a paywalled web portal. They probably had too many folks taking data from their medschool library...if 2018 is recent enough shoot me a PM.

I think the only people who lost out from others not filling out the surveys are new grads. A lot of people use these salary surveys to make offers to new grads. This can be especially hurtful when salary is not production-based. If the survey results are not an accurate reflection on the actual population, new grads could get underpaid, especially if they don't know any better.

High salary reporting on these surveys has historically led to getting rewarded with a CMS target for cuts on your specialty’s back, so practicing physicians actually do have something to lose as well
