does anyone here find time to go to the gym?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I go to the gym at least three times a week and do yoga every morning. I also believe in doing ten push-ups after certain things (as I get to be able to do more push-ups, the list seems to be getting longer), and I dance four times per week, which hurts like crazy but is so much fun.

I guess it doesn't hurt that I live a block away from my gym...

What are some things you will do push-ups after?

Using the bathroom was the first. That guarantees like 30 push-ups a day, minimum. Then I added cooking; another 30 per day (10 per meal!). Then doing dishes - usually another 30. I also added '10 push-ups per 20 minutes internet time' and '10 push-ups per 25 minutes video gaming.' My most recent additions are '10 push-ups for every half-hour of study' and '1 push-up for each wrong answer on a practice test; 3 for each wrong answer on a quiz; 5 for each wrong answer on a real test.'

It works out really well. I'm getting good at this!

Yep, I usually work out three times a week. Takes anywhere from an hour - two hours depending on what sort of routine I'm doing, how workout is split up and stuff. I didn't realize it until recently, but going to the gym has become pretty important to me. I get depressed if I have to take time off from it. Maybe I'm addicted to the endorphins or something, haha. I'm probably gonna bump up the amount of time I spend in the gym after spring break.

I work out 3-4x a week liftin' heavy and takin a multi. Mostly full body stuff, squats, deadlifts, bench, military press, pullups, dips. Made some pretty good gains, and I'm trying to transition into isolation workouts now, but I don't really know where to start. Any tips guys?

I feel like thet tricky part in med school won't be finding time to work out but managing the diet. I'm sure it can be easy to go long gaps without getting proper nutrition and hittin all your macros if you have long classes and labs or exams looming. The key is probably pre-preparing most meals and having good planning of what you will eat for the next few days.

I absolutely have time to go to the gym, at least three times a week. Just because I have time doesn't mean I go through with it though 🙁

I actually go about once a week. Elliptical ftw.
