Does anyone know when NOVA's classes begin?

Hey, just wondering.. does NOVA get summers off?

there are summer classes, but after 1st year, we got a few weeks off (around 6).

i'm a second year, so this upcoming summer is going to be speculation on my part: we will possibly get 2 wks before we start seeing patients in clinic, and 1 wk off before classes start.

no clue about 3rd year and onward, unfortunately.

During the interview, they told us that classes start Aug 1st. At the end of 2nd semester, you get 5 weeks off, but then you take summer courses. You don't get another break until your 3rd year.

Yeah, that's about right. After your first year (2 semesters, which officially ends in May), you start your second year (effectively 3 semesters which starts at the end of June/beginning July). The summer semester is short, only 8 weeks if memory serves me correctly, with only 2 classes. Then you begin the regular fall and winter/spring semesters. Immediately after your second year ends, third year clinic starts that summer. In Fall full time classes are added along with clinic, and likewise classes/clinic for spring/winter semester of 3rd year. Your fourth year rotations start immediately at the end of third year and then you graduate.

Long story short, your only actual "break", aside from 1 week for spring break and 1-2 weeks for winter/christmas break will be between your 1st and 2nd year. There isn't a break in your 3rd year.
