Hi,
I am just entering MS III and I am wondering......how is the textbook CMDT. Everyone seems to be reading review books for rotations and step 2. Do you guys read textbooks like CMDT? If so, how useful is it? Also, can you comment on whether you have to use any other review books if you just read CMDT for the IM shelf and later on for step 2.

I am currently studying for Step 2 CK and have found the need to look up more info on certain diagnoses that the review books don't cover in detail. So I finally bought myself a copy of this yr's CMDT, but for reference only. I love the format. HOWEVER, my recommendation to a 3rd yr would be to study from review books and perhaps a more traditional text like Cecil's Essentials. Use the CMDT from your medical library as a reference. But to study from it? I don't know...
