I heard that CCOM recently instituted a preceptorship program. They have been formerly known to not allow any contact with patients in the first 2 years of school. Can anyone giveme the scoop because I am seriously considering attending there. Thank you all.

Hi maphilips,

I remember hearing about this program during my interview, but the professor did not go into detail about the program. Personally, I think this would be an *excellent* question for you to ask during your panel interview.

Good luck!

Good question. When I was an MSI and MSII I did the preceptorship program and felt that it was really excellent. It definately kept my "head in the game" so to speak.

The program was entirely student run. Thus, I am not sure if it still exists. I will say that it was running quite strongly while I was an MSI/MSII/. I have no reason to believe that it is not still doing so.

Ask students this question when you interview.
