Does the electronic health record EPIC have capability for iPad or tablet use? Anyone have experience using one on EPIC?

Yes.

Very convenient for rounds.

Though make sure you can get permission to long on through the secure wifi, because most of other open hospital portals log you off in a few minutes of inactivity.
 
Yes, but only if your hospital has it set up to be possible.

If you have permission for remote access, you can log on through the Citrix app on your iPad, same as you could using Citrix on your home laptop/desktop/whatever.

Alternatively, there is a native EPIC app developed specifically for the iPad, but your hospital has to have paid for it and configured it to work with their specific implementation of the EHR.
 
Yup I had multiple residents use it on rounds. They had to get authorization and permission through the hospital though
