I’m a U.S. IMG in an extremely malignant foreign med school, and they didn’t let me take my final exam (forced me to take it 3 months late, cause I was sick and “didn’t have the required attendance”)

So I’m gonna have to say yes to “education/training extended or interrupted” on my MSPE unfortunately.
Is this an automatic filter at most places? I did pass step 1/253 on step 2 + 6 months of usce. Applying IM btw

but I’m not sure how much this random/kinda vindictive thing my college did to me will end up hurting me lmao.

From what they’ve done to students in the past, the will absolutely report it like that 🙁
There's really nothing you can do about this unfortunately. You'll have to make the most of what you've got. You apply, you answer questions honestly if/when asked and you do what you can. It's a pretty minor issue though and you're likely to match just fine. The only way this really messes you up is if you lie about it. So don't do that.

Will it stop me from getting IVs? Like I can explain it but I’d need the opportunity to haha

The rest of my stats are dece so I’m hoping not(?) It just feels super unfair

No one has a crystal ball. Maybe yes, maybe no. It depends on how it shows up in your application and if a program filters your app out for this or other reasons.
