Im interested in becoming a veterinarian and have two summers worth of experience with working with horses during high school. Does this matter at all when applying to a veterinary school if its from when I was in High School?

You might get more answers on the pre-vet board, since vet med is a very small world.

Your experiences will count as animal experience. You will need vet experience as well. The only animal experience that doesn't count is pet care. Obviously, don't claim stuff that isn't reasonable (Don't be Bindi.)

If you get a significant amount of experience in high school I would think it matters. On your applications your going to have to list extracurricular activities. You have nothing to lose by putting on your resume. If I was on adcoms I would think having a lot of veterinary experience in high school shows a tremendous amount of dedication in your quest to be a veterinarian.
