Do you think it matters what order we list our volunteer/work etc. experience on the application?

The admission committee will see it in the order you add it into your app, so wouldnt it be more strategic to put the most important things first and the least important things last?

Or should you just put it in chronological order? Or does none of this matter?

I don't think order matters

In the instructions it says place them in order of importance.

Order doesn't matter. Volunteer work and work experience are quite low on the totem pole and they won't make or break your application. GPAs, DAT scores and LORs trump all else.

To make a strong first impression, I would make sure the ADCOMS read your most important experiences first.

This person said it perfectly. Unless you're going to a school that loves volunteer work then in reality.

DAT>GPA>LORs>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>whatever else.

A candidate with a 30 DAT and a 4.0 GPA with some decent letters and a good interview will likely be accepted everywhere...There are exceptions to the rule, but contrary to popular belief on SDN most people are not that exception.
