Does it cost for residency?

This is probably a stupid question, (yes, stupid questions are possible), but does it cost the resident any money to participate in a residency?

I know that the programs provide a stipend, but are there any fees that the resident is responsible for?

Usually you have to pay to get your resident/provisional license or your full license as well as for Step 3, and you may have to contribute towards health insurance, etc. But overall it is like a job, you get paid!
