Will a BS degree in Dental Hygiene count as a bachelor's degree for Dental school?

Ha I've thought it was a silly question too, but I've seen people say the DH courses are easier and will not suffice for DS... Just wanted to make sure

Honestly, that's an interesting BS degree. Adcom will see it as a chance to add diversity among the biological science degrees. Just ace those pre reqs.

Thank you! I hope it will. Also, I have a question about volunteering hours - does it have to relate to dentistry? I am an avid volunteer for the American Cancer Society - Relay For Life, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer walk, March of Dimes, Ovarian Cancer, etc etc since 2008.
